WESTERN ARMY COMMANDER REVIEWS OPERATIONAL PREPAREDNESS OF AIRAWAT DIVISION

Lieutenant General RP Singh, Army Commander, Western Command visited Airawat Division on 04 June 2021. The General officer reviewed the operational preparedness and lauded the formation for their innovative approach to training while adhering to the restrictions due to COVID. He complimented all stakeholders for their sustained efforts towards enhanced operational preparedness and professional training. He exhorted all ranks to retain operational focus in order to be prepared for future operational challenges. During his visit he was briefed on the initiatives of the Army to assist local population and veterans of surrounding areas in the fight against COVID.

He interacted with Health Care Workers and other frontline workers involved in COVID management and lauded their efforts in providing medical support to serving personels, Veterans, Families and Civilians. The Army Commander also interacted with Colonel Manoj Kumar Sharma, Commanding Officer of Western Comd COVID Hospital, Patiala and complimented the team running the COVID facility at Govt Rajindra Hospital, Patiala.
