SGGS World University Organises One day workshop on Internet of Things (IoT)

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering of Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University Fatehgarh Sahib in Association with Sabudh Foundation, Mohali conducted a one-day workshop on Internet of Things (IoT) to help students get industry ready. The workshop was organised according to the Memorandum of Understanding signed by the University and Sabudh Foundation in 2020 with an aim to harness the hidden and untapped talent of students.
A batch of 40 students of Computer Science from the University and nearby colleges were selected for this workshop. The workshop was conducted as a part of recruitment of IoT fellowship programme by Sabudh.
Dr. Navdeep Kaur, Head of the Department welcomed the resource persons and the participants. The workshop covered the basics on IoT, use of arduino and demonstration of various protocols and sensors. Participants were given hands-on experience through various activities using IoT. Dr. Ajaib Singh Brar, Pro-Chancellor of the University congratulated the organisers and appreciated the commitment of the Department for polishing the students as industry professionals. Dr. Amandeep Kaur Virk, co-ordinator of the program extended a vote of thanks to the vice chancellor of the University Dr. Pritpal Singh, all the dignitaries and participants, .
