India (Uttar Pradesh): Doctors in Shanti Vilas ENT Hospital in Prayagraj have saved a patient after 40 hours of operation. The patient had swallowed three teeth artificial teeth by mistake which were later stuck in the food pipe.
A 65-year patient named Chhedilal is a resident of the Pratapgarh district. He had a fever so he decided to take some medicines but he swallowed his three artificial teeth along with the medicine. When the artificial teeth passed through the throat, they got stuck in the food pipe and were stated to cause pain.
Virendra Yadav, son of Chhedial brpught him to the Shanti Vilas ENT Hospital in Prayagraj. Here ENT surgeon Dr. Ajay Shukla operated with the binocular method and took out all three teeth and gave new life to the patient.
ENT surgeon Dr. Ajay Shukla said that such cases are very rare. It was critical to have three teeth stuck in the food pipe for 40 consecutive hours. After the patient’s X-ray was checked first it was found that this tooth is stuck in the food pipe. In such a situation, the patient was not able to eat or drink anything. The tooth was pulled out by telescopic operation.
