Sarbat Da Bhala Trust distributed Scholarships worth 9 lakh 20 thousand to students at Modi College

Patiala, 25c November: Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala organized a special function to distribute scholarships to 96 deserving students of the college by Dr. S.P.S. Oberoi, Managing Trustee, Sarbat Da Bhala Charitable Trust. Mrs. Inderjeet Gill, Director Education, Sarbat Da Bhala Charitable Trust and Sh. Gaganpreet Singh, General Secretary, Sarbat Da Bhala Charitable Trust and Mr. G.K. Singh (Retd. IAS) were also present on the occasion. College Principal Dr. Khushvinder Kumar welcomed the Chief Guest and other guests and said that ‘Sarbat Da Bhala Trust’ has become synonyms with social welfare and a hope for better education and affordable health services for number of lives across the world. Mrs. Inderjeet Gill discussed various activities and schemes initiated by the ‘Sarbat Da Bhala Trust’ for the welfare of underprivileged and marginalized sections of society.

Sh. G. K. Singh appreciated the activities of the trust and advised the student to focus on their career.

Sh. G. K. Singh while addressing the students motivated them to work hard and to dedicate themselves for the betterment of our society. He also handed over the cheque of Rupees Nine Lakh and Sixty Thousand of scholarships for the needy and deserving students of Modi College. The stage was conducted by Vice Principal Prof (Mrs.) Shailendra Sidhu. Prof. Ved Prakash Sharma, Dean, Students Welfare presented the Vote of thanks. All students and staff members were present on the occasion.
