Ms. Maninder Kaur Oberoi, Treasurer Trust and Dr. Inderjit Kaur Gill, Director Education Trust of Sarbat da Bhala Charitable Trust, today had a special meeting with the Vice-Chancellor and other senior officials of Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, Fatehgarh Sahib, regarding the Diploma in Gatka , a course which is being run for the last three years in the Physical Education and Sports Technology Department of the university. The the fee of this course students is paid by Sarbat Da Bhala Charitable Trust run by Dr. SP Singh Oberoi. Giving more information about this, the Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Prit Pal Singh said that during the last three years, the Gatka team of the University has consistently won the first place in the Khalsa Games and the overall second place in the All India Inter University Gatka Championship. Apart from this, the University team has won many competitions. He said that today the Sarbat Da Bhala Charitable Trust has handed over a check of six lakh thirty thousand rupees fee of 21 students to the University under the Sunny Oberoi Scholarship Scheme. On this occasion, while appreciating the services rendered by Sarbat Da Bhala Charitable Trust in the field of public welfare and education, Prof. (Dr.) Sukhwinder Singh Billing, Dean Academic Affairs thanked the Trust officials. On this occasion, Dr. Bhupinder Singh Ghuman, Head, Department of Physical Education and Sports Technology, S. Jagjit Singh, Deputy Registrar, Dr. Hardev Singh, Department of Religious Studies, S. Atinder Bikramjit Singh Mall, Physical Education Department and Talwinder Singh Gatka coach were present.
