RAJA WARRING HANDS OVER APPOINTMENT LETTERS TO FAMILY MEMBERS OF SEVEN FARMERS WHO LOST LIVES DURING FARMERS’ AGITATION

Chandigarh, October 25: Punjab Transport Minister Mr. Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, on Monday, handed over appointment letters to family members of the seven farmers of district Mansa, who have lost their lives during the ongoing farmers’ agitation against the draconian agri-laws of the Modi government.

The Cabinet Minister reiterated that the Punjab Government stood shoulder to shoulder with the families of deceased warriors of farmers’ agitation and it had expedited the process of providing financial assistance of Rs.5 lakh to families besides providing job to a family member of each deceased farmer. “As the Minister In-charge of the district Mansa, I’ve been entrusted upon the responsibility by the Chief Minister Mr. Charanjit Singh Channi for visiting the homes of the warriors of the farmers’ agitation.” He said that no one can fill the void created by the loss of lives of farmers, but the government will not spare any effort to help the families of the victims.

During his visit to various villages of Mansa, Sardulgarh and Budhlada, the Cabinet Minister handed over appointment letters to Sukhwinder Singh s/o late Gurjant Singh of Kot Dharmu, Manjit Kaur wife of late Dhanna Singh resident of Khayali Chahalan Wali, Nirmal Singh son of late Kulwant Singh of Nandgarh, Sukhwinder Singh son of late Gurjant Singh of Bachhoana, Ramandeep Kaur alias Malkit Kaur wife of late Jagsir Singh of Bhadra, Bakhshish Singh son of late Jugraj Singh resident of Garhaddi and Jagseer Singh of late Gurjant Singh of Alisher Kalan.

The Minister was accompanied by MLA Nazar Singh Manshahia, Chairman Zila Parishad Bikram Singh Mofar, Congress leader Michael Gagowal and Gurpreet Singh Vicky, Deputy Commissioner Mohinder Pal and SSP Mansa Sandeep Kumar Garg.
