Animals attacks are now a common incident in India. It mostly happens in rural areas. But it is getting quite common in the urban areas too. A video on social media is getting viral in which an elderly woman was suddenly attacked by a leopard in Maharashtra’s capital Mumbai.

This incident happened on Wednesday evening in Aarey Colony of Goregaon. The woman, showing courage, somehow drove the leopard away with her stick and succeed to save herself. She has suffered minor injuries, after which she has been admitted to the hospital. This entire incident got captured on the CCTV camera. Its video is now becoming quite viral.

The woman’s name is Nirmala Devi and she is about 60 years old, a resident of Aarey Colony, had gone out for a walk outside the house on Wednesday evening. During this, she sat in the verandah when a leopard already hiding here attacked her. It is seen in the video that the woman sits in the verandah to relax when a leopard pounces on her from behind. First, the woman walks her hands and feet towards him, and then, acting intelligently, strikes her several times with a stick. Due to which the leopard runs away.
