दुनिया के 8 देश भीषण आग से जूझ रहे हैं। इनमें अमेरिका, रूस, तुर्की, ग्रीस, ब्राजील, इटली, स्पेन और जापान शामिल हैं। यह आग जून के आखिरी हफ्ते में शुरू हई थी, जो अब तक 1.13 करोड़ एकड़ इलाका खाक कर चुकी है। इसकी चपेट में आकर अब तक 38 लोगों की मौत हो चुकी है। करीब एक हजार घर जलकर राख हो गए हैं, जबकि 1.10 लाख लोगों को सुरक्षित स्थानों तक पहुंचाया जा चुका है।

इन देशों में आग को बुझाने में 38 हजार फायरफाइटर्स और करीब 650 हेलीकॉप्टर लगे हैं। वैज्ञानिकों का कहना है कि अमेरिका, रूस और ब्राजील में लगी आग जलवायु परिवर्तन का नतीजा है। जबकि ग्रीस और तुर्की में आग कैसे फैली, इसकी जांच चल रही है।
