District Administrative Gears Up for September Job Fairs
Patiala, August 25:
To ensure employment to all eligible youth under Ghar Ghar Rozgar and Karobar Mission, District Patiala has all set to provide employment opportunities to 15000 youth through various companies, said ADC (UD) Gautam Jain.
While reviewing the preparation of the job fairs with the allied departments and organisations, Mr Gautam Jain said that state level employment fairs were being organized from September 9 to 17 to provide employment opportunities to the unemployed.
Mr Jain outlined the work to be done for the success of these fairs and issued instructions to the concerned officers to extend the benefits of these job fairs to the unemployed youth by getting registered maximum number of candidates. Apart from this, the village panchayats and city councilors should be coordinated for the promotion of these job fairs so that more and more youth could be informed about these fairs and the candidates could be made aware through various media. He also appealed to the unemployed youth of the district to get employment opportunities by participating in these fairs.
During the meeting, District Employment Generation and Training Officer, Mrs Simpi Singla informed about the employment fairs to be held in the month of September. She said that these employment fairs would be organized at ITI (Boys) Patiala on September 9, Government College for Girls, Patiala on September 13, Public College Samana on September 15 and Govt Mahindra College, Patiala on September, in which more than 15,000 youth would be given job opportunities by reputed companies. During the meeting, SDM Patran Ankurjit Singh (additional Charge Dudhan Sadha), SDM Samana Mrs Swati Tiwana, SDM Rajpura Khushdil Singh and representatives from various departments were present.
