Deputy Commissioner Urges Religious Institutions and Public Representatives to Motivate the People for Vaccination

Seeking cooperation from religious organisations and public representatives, Deputy Commissioner Kumar Amit has urged them to motivate the people at their level to get them vaccinated against the pandemic in wake of their reluctant behaviour towards inoculation. of the people in the district to get vaccinated against the disease.  
      The Deputy Commissioner said that to make vaccination available at their door steps, the district administration has started a series of outreach camps to expedite the vaccination drive, under which more than two thousand people have been given jab of vaccine by mobile teams at 17 places in Patiala district today.
      The Deputy Commissioner accompanied by Corporation Commissioner Poonamdeep Kaur, Additional Deputy Commissioner (G) Pooja Sayal Grewal and Civil Surgeon Dr. Satinder Singh, visited the outreach camps at the Municipal Corporation Office, Ward No. 48 and Ward No. 35 (New Officer Colony), in the afternoon.  He urged the councilors of these wards, Yoginder Singh Yogi, senior deputy mayor and councilor Santosh Rani to mobilise maximum eligible persons from their ward to these camps so that the battle against COVID could be won.
        Mr. Kumar Amit further said that in order to promote the COVID vaccination campaign in Patiala district, the district administration is going to organise mega vaccination camps on Friday, April 9 at Patiala, Rajpura and Nabha in which a large number of eligible people to be vaccinated.  He appealed to the people of the district not to take the second wave of COVID lightly but in view of its seriousness, we must take precautions as well as get vaccinated.
