Deputy Commissioner Sandeep Hans Pays Surprise Visit to Offices Situated in DAC

Patiala, October 21: In order to keep a check on the punctuality and attendance of government employees and to ensure the smooth delivery of public utility services, Deputy Commissioner Sandeep Hans paid a surprise visit to Block A offices, Sewa Kendra and District Bureau of Employment and Enterprise, today, morning, at DAC Patiala.
During checking in ‘A’ Block of the District Administrative Complex, the Deputy Commissioner saw the attendance books and verified the physical attendance of the concerned employees. He said that as a government employee, it’s our duty to be punctual and serve the public with dedication and honesty as we have been engaged for the service of the people by the state.
Deputy Commissioner Mr. Sandeep Hans not only examined the presence of employees but also checked the designation boards (outside rooms), notice boards, cleanliness, furniture for the public in waiting areas, maintenance of office records, etc. He directed the employees to not paste any documents on walls and use only notice boards. He asked the concerned officers and employees to ensure proper and adequate seating arrangements for the public coming to their offices and having to wait for one and other reasons.
Visiting Sewa Kendras, Deputy Commissioner Sandeep Hans monitored the working of service windows and operators sitting there. He asked the District Coordinate Gurpreet Singh and District e-Governance Coordinator Robin Singh to explore the possibility of setting up more service windows to ease out the delivery of services.
During the visit of the District Bureau of Employment and Enterprise, the Deputy Commissioner directed the Deputy Director Employment to improve the facilities being provided at the Library and Free Internet Room. He said that we should guide the youth coming here properly with the government-sponsored self-employment schemes and employment opportunities in the private and government sectors. He directed the DBEE officials to make the premises and office more catchy besides the outflow of information in an impressive way.
After that the Deputy Commissioner also visited the garden being set up beside the Sub Registrar’s office and suggested some changes to give it a greener look. He was accompanied by Assistant Commissioner (G) Jasleen Kaur Bhullar and other officials.
