Deputy Commissioner along with SSP and ADC Visit Jallan Oxygen Plant in Rajpura

Rajpura/Patiala, In order to streamline supply of medical oxygen in district, Deputy Commissioner Kumar Amit along with SSP Vikramjeet Duggal and ADC (D) cum Nodal Officer for Medical Oxygen visited today Jallan Cryogenic, Rajpura, a plant for oxygen generation, storage and transportation of Liquid Medical Oxygen.
Plant management while briefing about the production of oxygen at plant to the authorities, said that plant had a capacity of 700 to 800 cylinders per day by its own generation plant besides storage capacity of Liquid Medical Oxygen that procured from a Bathinda based plant. All kind of oxygen is now being used for medical purposes including supply to Patiala, Sohana, Gyan Sagar, Sangrur and Barnala, added plant management.
Deputy Commissioner while asking SDM Rajpura, Khushdil Singh for keeping proper monitoring of movement of oxygen from plant, also assured that administration would ensure uninterrupted power supply so that plant could work on full capacity day and night. Deputy Commissioner said that an official has been deployed to monitor transport of oxygen from plant.
Mr Kumar Amit said that we are minutely watching the supply/allocation and availability of medical oxygen in the district by putting in checking teams by curbing hoarding/black-marketing, if any, to streamline the supply/availability of medical oxygen. For this purpose, an IAS officer, Preeti Yadav, ADC (D) has been entrusted the task as Nodal officer. He assured to the medical fraternity/hospitals that district administration would ensure timely supply/availability of oxygen to avoid any kind of hindrance. We have been strengthening the whole distribution system by enforcement activities and auditing, he added.
Making an appeal to the residents for not getting panic in wake of current scenario, the deputy commissioner said that we must come forward in case of any symptom, for COVID testing besides adhering to the precautions strictly. He said that the district administration in coordination with health authorities has also pace up the vaccination and the people should get the benefit of vaccination camps being organized at their door steps. Apart from that district administration was also reviewing the existing COVID facilities, for the purpose of enhancement/expanding.
Categorically denying any sort of shortage of oxygen at Rajindra or any other Hospital in the district, he appealed to the society not to trust rumors, instead verify the facts.
