Celebration of Gurpurab in Scholar Fields Public School

Patiala, 18 November: Scholar Fields Public School celebrated the 552nd Birth Anniversary of the Spiritual Messiah of Sikhism, Guru Nanak Dev Ji with fervor and gaiety. The whole school was decked up with marvelous settings which provided a divine hue to the atmosphere.
The religious ceremony started with the invocation to Waheguru followed by various inter-house competitions such as Shabad Gayan, Turban tying, Dumala tying, and Essay writing(In English, Hindi, and Punjabi) on the teachings of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. There was a special performance of ‘Kawishri,’ by the students which made the atmosphere spellbound. Tiny tots of the school were dressed in Khalsa attires and looked very impressive.
Children threw light on the birth and teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Teachers and students paid their obeisance and showers of flowers provided fragrance to the atmosphere. Speaking on the occasion, School Principal, Mrs. Chandandeep Kaur, and Vice-Chairman Karnail Singh educated about the message and teachings of Guru Nanak. They congratulated all on this auspicious day and revitalized the students to follow the path that has been shown by Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Winners of Inter House Shabad Gayan competition was Tagore House and In Essay Writing Raman House bagged the first position. Winner of Dumala Tying and Turban Tying were Manseerat Kaur and Sahildeep Singh respectively.
All winners were awarded with prizes by the Management of the school. Holy offerings (Prasada) in the name of Waheguru were distributed among all at the end.
