North Zone Cultural Centre Facilitated Online Gurbani Gayan

On the 400th birth anniversary of the Guru, North Zone Cultural Centre and Department of Gurmat Sangeet Punjabi University Patiala has organized a series of online Gurbani Gayan being presented by different Kirtankars of national and inter-national repute. series Bhai Jasbir Singh Jaswinder Singh ‘Patiala Wale’ presented soulful Shabad kirtan of Gurbani hymns of Guru Tegh Bahadar Sahib. Shabad kirtan commemorating the 400th birth anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadar Sahib. He discussed the contribution of Guru Tegh Bahadar in the musical
heritage of India. He illustrated that the department of Gurmat Sangeet has uploaded all the ragas used by Guru Tegh Bahadar Sahib for free circulation
and Gurmat Sangeet learning of all the aspirants. He thanked Vice-chancellor Dr. Arvind for his blessings and support to come with such an important collaborationto perform authentic version of Shabad Kirtan. He told that the next online gurbani gayan will be performed by world renowned scholar kirtankar Dr. Arashpreet Singh Rhythm. Dr. Yashpal Sharma, Head & Dean Faculty of Arts and Culture uploaded the continuous efforts of the department in propagating the gurmat sangeet principle’s based kirtan performances. He thanked the director NZCC for making these events a success.
