MLAs Hardial Singh Kamboj and Madan Lal Jalalpur Start Paddy Procurement in Rajpura and Ghanour Mandis

Paddy procurement in Patiala district during the current kharif season was started, today, formally by MLAs Hardial Singh Kamboj and Madan Lal Jalalpur in Rajpura and Ghanour grain markets.  
       MLA Kamboj and Jalalpur while kickstarting the government purchase of paddy said that the Chief Minister Mr Charanjit Singh Channi’s efforts have paid off, so the farmers’ crop will now be taken care of on time.  Both the MLAs said that every single grain of the farmers, would be procured bringing for sale in the mandis and the payment for the purchased crop would also be made at the same time.
       Mr Kamboj and Mr Jalalpur said that the Union government had postponed the procurement of paddy till October 11 in a spirit of revenge to harass the farmers of Punjab. Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi immediately swung in action and approached Peine Minister Narendra Modi and request him to relook his government’s decision of delayed procurement in the larger interests of farmers and agrarian state. They said that the timely commencement of paddy procurement has been a great relief to the farmers for which they express gratitude to the Chief Minister.
       Mr Kamboj and Mr Jalalpur said that Punjab government has made foolproof arrangements for procurement in the mandis of the state and no difficulty would be allowed to the farmers.  Both the MLAs said that Punjab farmers have been staging dharnas for a long time to repeal balck laws and to save Punjab. They expressed their solidarity with the farmers and reiterated their support the farmers to save Punjab farming.
       Mr Madan Lal Jalalpur said that Modi government wanted to derail the economy of farmers but with the intervention of Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi, the procurement started in time. He said that Charanjit Singh led Punjab government was committed to safeguard the interests of every Punjabi and every section of the people of the state.
