DLSA Secretary Visits Central Jail Patiala

As per the directions of Sh. Rajinder Aggarwal, District & Sessions Judge, Patiala, a visit was conducted at Central Jail, Patiala by Ms Parminder Kaur, CJM/Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Patiala, today. The jail inmates of Central Jail, Patiala were asked about their grievances/problems being faced by them. They were also sensitized about protection against corona virus by wearing masks, washing hands at regular intervals and maintaining social distancing. Jail Superintendent, other officers and staff of the jail were instructed to ensure timely redressal of their grievances and problems and were directed to pay special attention towards health and medical facilities, which are being provided to the jail inmates.
On this occasion, a Camp Court was organized in Central Jail, Patiala by Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Patiala. In this camp court, a jail inmate was ordered to be released on the spot.
